Antarctic Adventure Cruises
Many people dream of visiting the mysterious ‘white
continent’ of Antarctica with its dramatic scenery and
unique wildlife. Now you can make that dream come alive.
Our cruises visit some of the most remote communities on
Earth and you’ll learn about the fascinating history
of the area and see some of the surprisingly rich plant and
wildlife, with many species unique to this region.
Join the MS Nordnorge or her sister ship
MS Nordkapp on a voyage to Antarctica and
experience this spectacular and pristine landscape.
After rounding Cape Horn and crossing the
Drake Passage you’ll explore Antarctica
with its quite unique landscape and wildlife. Here you can
visit penguin colonies, see majestic icebergs float by and
watch seals basking in the sun.
The MS Nordnorge and Nordkapp
visit Antarctica on a cruise from Patagonia at
the tip of South America around Cape Horn and through the
fjords of southern Chile.
The southern Andes Mountains, with numerous
volcanoes among them, form a stunning backdrop to the lush
and green coastal landscape, dotted with colourful fishing
villages. On the first and last voyage of the season MS Nordnorge’s
visit to Antarctica is combined with a cruise to South
Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
The 48-passenger former scientific research vessels Akademik
Shokalskiy, Professor Molchanov, Professor Multanovskiy
and the 110 passenger Expedition Cruise Ship MV Orlova
offer three different adventure cruises deep into the Antarctic
peninsula and its islands.
The 11/12 day Classic Antarctica cruises get close-up to
the wildlife and scenic highlights of the Antarctic, with
Zodiac shore excursions and optional scuba diving, camping
or sea kayaking. The Explorers' Cruises extend the itinerary
to the Falkland Islands and South
Georgia. For the most adventurous we offer a Crossing
the Antarctic Circle cruise.
New for 2006 we offer up-close cruises on
MV Mare Australis and MV Via Australis to the glaciers of
Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego plus Cape Horn and stays in
Chile including Torre del Paine National Park.
